Which Cover Is Calling For You (8) - typography madness

Hello lovely readers! Let me ask you a question. Have you ever picked up a book just by its cover? ok let me take it a little bit further; have you ever picked up said book, was mesmerized by the cover and, without looking at the synopsis, you bought it? if you've said yes to the first or both questions then this post is for you! From time to time we are going to show you guys some YA titles along with their gorgeous covers and you guys let us know which one you would buy based on its cover. Of course each post will have a different theme so you will be able to compare between them!

We are finally bringing back this feature! I have no idea why we stopped because I really like it! So I will try doing this once every two weeks to one month.

  1. Yeay, I like this feature. Empty doesn't work for me, but I like Starry night (also because of the pretty blue color) I would also stop for The walled city and Even when you lie to me would get a second glance. I'm voting for Starry night :)

  2. None, actually, so I didn't vote. This type of cover just doesn't appeal to me. I haven't read any of these and probably won't.

  3. Oh I love this feature ladies, I totally splurge on all the books when it comes to a gorgeous cover, I had a hard time picking just one cover today, I'm definitely a huge fan of The Walled City and Starry Night! Thanks for bringing some of these pretties to my attention! :)

  4. I can't peel my eyes of The Walled City's typography. I really like Tease's because of the lipstick idea but since the eyes kept wondering, I think The Walled City won this one :)

  5. This is great. I really love Starry Night, mostly because of the city line as well as the watercolor effect. It's just a little more special to me than the other ones.
    Happy Reading!

  7. I chose Even When You Lie To Me and then I looked up what it was about and then I totally added it to my TBR list hahahaha. I also really likes the cover for Tease though.

  8. Ooh yeah I'm a total cover whore and while i won't NOT buy a book because of a terrible cover, I will be way more likely to check out a book at the story or on GR etc (even Netgalley and such) when the cover is pretty. Out of all of these I love Starry Night! The font and colors are awesome! I really love all of these though especially the simple, yet eye catching cover for Empty!

  9. I love this feature. It is so much fun. I am always picking out books based on their covers. I try not to judge them that way, but I do. Every single time.

  10. Love this post. While I don't mind the typography covers -- in fact, I quite like them -- I was kind of disappointed that Walled City went with this because I thought it could have done something more dramatic and Asian-themed..
Thanks so much for stopping by! Jen @ YA Romantics

  11. Haha, I am such a cover snob! I bought a book called "This is a Love Story" by Jessica Thomas for the cover alone and I am so happy any time I look at it. I didn't even read the summary before buying it and I'm super excited to see if the story is as good as the cover.

I've got to say, Starry Night is GORGEOUS and I definitely wouldn't mind owning that one for the cover! *sigh* Why do books have to be so gosh darn pretty??

  13. Love this feature! I do this all the time, it's horrible. Tease was one of the books I almost picked up based on the cover, but I was very disappointed when I went to the bookstore to pick it up. The silver background is way to shiny and takes away from the text, and the glare, ugh. I think I'm going to have to Starry Night!

  14. Empty! I love the simplicity, and what font is that? Century Gothic??
