In this third book in the bestselling Lunar Chronicles series, Cinder and Captain Thorne are fugitives on the run, with Scarlet and Wolf in tow. Together, they’re plotting to overthrow Queen Levana and her army.

Their best hope lies with Cress, who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood with only her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker—unfortunately, she’s just received orders from Levana to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

When a daring rescue goes awry, the group is separated. Cress finally has her freedom, but it comes at a high price. Meanwhile, Queen Levana will let nothing stop her marriage to Emperor Kai. Cress, Scarlet, and Cinder may not have signed up to save the world, but they may be the only ones who can.
The third book in The Lunar Chronicles can be described in one word, perfection. Cress, the main character, is stuck in a satellite. If you guys don't already know, Cress is a retelling of  Rapunzel. Cress was everything I has hoping for, and it just blew my mind away. I had a few problems with Scarlet, the second book in the series, so I was hoping this one would be much better. IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER. If I had to choose, this one would probably be my favorite out of the three! That was kind of a hard decision to make because Cinder has such a dear place in my heart. Anyhow, Cress was 560 pages of action, love, friendship, and so many more.
I'm going to go ahead and start talking about the amazing characters in this book. Cress being stuck in a satellite for about seven years lacks in social activities. She's kind of awkward and shy, but I absolutely LOVE that about her. Cress looks at everything in such a different way, I found that to be very refreshing. Also, being stuck in a satellite has allowed her to become a fantastic hacker! A HACKER! You probably thinking a shy girl? a hacker? It doesn't make sense! Well, I loved that Cress had that bad side of her, and she was just so cool when she was hacking! As you guys might already know, all the other characters played a major role in this book as well! It was so awesome to see all the characters working together to defeat Queen Levana. What I most love about the characters here is that each one is so unique and diverse, yet they fit so perfectly like a puzzle.
The world building, do I even need to talk about how perfect that was as well? Honestly, it felt like I was all over the planet. I was at the moon, Earth, and space. It was such a crazy ride, and I loved every bit of it. I'm kind of amazed at how Marissa Meyer was able to include so many places yet still able to connect them all in a professional manner. Wait, did I not talk about the adorable romance that took place in this book? I did not! Well, the romance was so cute I would always giggle when the two (I kind of don't want to spoil who the male is) were together!! I was so happy about the couple, and they were just perfect together! The ending was great! We got to meet another character, and it doesn't take a genius to know it was Winter! The main protagonist in the next book, which unfortunately, comes out in 2015!! I try not to think too much about that. Well, if my review didn't convince you to pick this book up as soon as possible, YOU SHOULD. If you haven't read this series yet, YOU SHOULD. You won't regret it!

  5. If you've read the previous books in this series, then I can guarantee you will love Cress just as much, if not more so. The dynamic between her and Thorne is so fantastic and their story is so gripping, it will leave you turning the pages well into the night. Not to mention, having the war between the Lunars and the Humans is gaining ground fast, and it's just one action pack adventure. I definitely recommend this series!
