My Never Ending List of Unfinished Series - Let's Do This!

I've seen a post made by Mel @ The Daily Prophecy and I just had to do one like hers! She basically lists all the series she started and needs to finish and every couple of months updates with which she's finished, which she is still reading, and which she's DNF-ed. I quite like this idea because now I will be forced to go through my goodreads bookshelf and decide which series I still want to continue and which I don't.
LET'S GET STARTED!

Series I finished in 2014:
1. Mara Dyer trilogy - (The Retribution of Mara Dyer)
2. Blood of Eden trilogy - (The Immortal Rules, The Eternity Cure, The Forever Song)
3. Slammed trilogy - (This Girl)
4. Hex Hall trilogy - (Hex Hall, Demonglass, Spellbound)
5. The Grisha trilogy - (Shadow & Bone, Siege & Storm, Ruin & Rising)
6. Pivot Point duology - (Split Second)
7. Shatter Me trilogy - (Ignite Me)
8. Article 5 trilogy - (Three)
9. The Embrace 5 book Series - (Empower)
10. Monument 14 trilogy - (Savage Drift)
Already reached my goal of 10 series per year!

Series I am currently in the middle of:
1. Starstruck trilogy by Rachel Shukert (Starstruck, Love Me)
2. Cruel Beauty Universe by Rosamund Hodge (Cruel Beauty)
3. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy, Frostbite)
4. The Winner's Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski (The Winner's Curse)
5. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass)
6. The Taking by Kimberly Derting (The Taking)
7. The Dispossessed trilogy by Page Morgan (The Beautiful and the Cursed, The Lovely and the Lost)
8. The Partials Sequence by Dan Wells (Partials)
9. The Legion trilogy by Kami Garcia (Unbreakable, Unmarked)
10. The Rephaim series by Paula Weston (Shadow, Haze)
11. Jasper Dent by Barry Lyga (I Hunt Killers)
12. Nearly Gone by Elle Cosimano (Nearly Gone)
13. Exile by Kevin Emerson (Exile)
14. To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han (To All the Boys I've Loved Before)
15. Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown (Red Rising)
16. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven Boys, The Dream Thieves, Blue Lily, Lily Blue)
17. Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock (Hemlock, Thornhill)
18. Elusion by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam (Elusion)
Holy crap, 18 series?

Series that I started over a year ago but haven't had the chance to continue:
1. Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick (3/4)
2. Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson (1/3)
3. His Fair Assassin by Robin LaFevers (1/3)
4. A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davis (1/3)
5. Gallagher Girls by Ally Carter (4/6)
6. Abandon Trilogy by Meg Cabot (1/3)
7. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand (2/3)
8. Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout (3/5)
9. Glitch by Heather Anastasiu (2/3)
10. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (1/3)

Series I started in 2014 but not interested in continuing:
1. Silver Blackthorn by Kelly Wilkinson
2. Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne
3. The Witch Hunter by Michelle Krys
4. The Murder Complex by Lindsey Cummings
5. Dark World by Cara Lynn Shultz
yes I know… but I just don't have the patience in continuing series where I gave the book 3 stars or less. I know 3 stars is good but… It means a book has many flaws and I can't be bothered to read a second book that will most probably have the same rating.

??????????????????????

This is a very long and complicated list and post, I know. I didn't know whether to include all the series I'm currently reading or the ones I DNF-ed ages ago.. but I think this is good enough. So stats time!
Complete series in need of finishing: 13 series
Ongoing series: 15 series
DNF-ed series: 5 series

I guess I have a lot of reading ahead of me to try and improve my stats!

  1. This is a great idea to do, even if one doesn't plan to share. It helps not feel to overwhelmed. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Oh my gosh, this is too perfect! I also have a problem with finishing series. Not only that, but I also have a problem of starting a series completely out of order and never going back to reading the books from the beginning of the series. A lot of the time the books are standalones and I just never have the time to go back and read the stories of other characters that appear in the later books I've read. I seriously need to make a list too so that I can finally catch up on those series I've started and just haven't had the chance to finish! Especially the Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout! I think I've only read the first three too, but I loved them and can't wait to see what happens next!

  5. Hahahahah oh man if I made a post like this it would looks about like this, too! I'm terrible at finishing series especially if the books are not all out. I tend to either forget or just stop caring. And then I see spoilers and not bother. I really want o finish the Divergent series though no matter what people say about book 3 >.< And Mara Dyer is another one I wanna finish.

  6. That's a great idea. I need to make a list of all my series too. I'll probably have such bad results. I am terrible at finishing series, especially about reading the last book in a series.

  7. If I count all the series I stared and I haven't finished it will probably be longer than this! Some I plan to finish and some will stay behind... There just isn't any time to read it all!

  9. Yeay, I love seeing other people making lists of unfinished series. HIS FAIR ASSASSIN. If you have the time, I highly recommend continuing this series. The sequels are perfect. Your list isn't that bad :D If you put some effort in it, you can make a pretty dent in it before this year ends!

  10. Oh wow. Actually, on your list, I've only read Hemlock and Hush, Hush. Both of which I liked but don't have the motivation to keep going for some reason so I understand what you're saying. That's a lot of series though :)

  12. I loved the 2nd book in the I Hunt Killers series! It was very suspenseful. The final Mara Dyer book was a let down, but I think a lot of people loved it... and it definitely wraps things up. I've been amazingly good at finishing series lately, but I don't read a ton of them to begin with :) Your list looks a little overwhelming... good luck!!
