I picked up Nightshade because there was going to be a signing for Andrea Cremer, but was later on canceled. Still, I was GLAD that I was finally able to pick it up, because I loved every bit of it! Cala already knows she's a werewolf, and she also happens to be the alpha of her pack. One day she defies the laws by saving a human boy, Shay, and that's how the story unfolds. I loved that there were two werewolf packs, one Calla's and the other is Ren's pack, in the same school. When Shay, the boy Calla rescued shows up in the same school as the new student, THINGS GO CRAZY! The world was ultra fun reading about as well! One thing I LOVED about this book was the romance. It was so hot, and the jealousy was just so fun to read about. Calla was such an awesome kick-butt character whom I really enjoyed meeting as well! I definitely cannot wait to pick up the second book, Wolfsbane!

Finale (Hush, Hush #4)
Becca Fitzpatrick

3/5 stars

The first thing I'm going to say is that I wasn't excited for this book at all. I thought that the fourth addition to a TRILOGY was unnecessary, and that Becca Fitzpatrick should have just kept it at three. That aside, Finale was an O-K book for me. Yes, it was enjoyable and fun, but I still thought that it would still have been an awesome series without it. Nora is taking over Hank's Nephilim group, and is trying to stop the war between them and the fallen angels. Patch and Nora also had to pretend to have broken up, just so that Nora would be able to gain their trust into leading them. I think my favorite part of this book has to be Scott. I loved his character in this book, and I definitely hoped he had showed up a bit more. One thing I have to say that Finale was shocking towards the end. There were many things that broke my heart. Overall, I guess it was a good ending to the series, but I still didn't find it an amazing read.

  1. I felt the same way about Finale. I didn't have a bad time reading it, though I did think it was a completely unnecessary book. I'm glad you liked Nightshade though! I didn't finish that series but I enjoyed the first couple of books.

  3. I still have Finale sitting on my shelf unread. I was so disappointed with the third book and all that amnesia BS. Still, I feel twitchy not having finished the series yet.

  5. I still need to get started in Hush, Hush, but I've been pushing it away for some time now.. I almost bought Nightshade a while ago, but I didn't. Perhaps I will, because I like the sound of it :)

  6. Glad you enjoyed Nightshade Farah! I haven't read that series in full, but I've read both prequels and fell madly in love with them, so now I need to go back and read the rest of the books!

  8. Farah, I'm listening to Nightshade on audio right now and I have to say that I completely agree with you so far! Calla is very kick-butt and I love the romance as well, even if it's a love triangle. As for Finale, I haven't read it yet! I'm a huge fan of Becca Fitzpatrick, so unlike you, I don't really mind that there's a fourth installment in the saga. I love these mini-reviews, Farah! Keep up the great work :)

  9. I've seen Nightshade around and now reading your review I really want to go and read it. It sounds awesome that the main character already knows shes supernatural or whatever and is badass as well :D As for Finale I agree with everything you said. On one hand I liked it because we get to spend more time with Patch but the other side thinks it should have been left at book 3, it was O.K but nothing spectacular. Great reviews! :)

  10. I really enjoyed reading the Hush, Hush series, although I haven't read Finale, yet! I did purchase the book when it first came out, but have been putting off reading it, maybe it's because I'm afraid I will be disappointed.
The Nightshade series sounds fantastic, and I want to read it, someday....
