16 year old Anna Rogan has a secret she's only shared with her best friend, Rei; she can astrally project out of her body, allowing her spirit to explore the world and the far reaches of the universe.

When there's a fatal accident and her classmate Taylor takes over Anna's body, what was an exhilarating distraction from her repressive home life threatens to become a permanent state. Faced with a future trapped in another dimension, Anna turns to Rei for help. Now the two of them must find a way to get Anna back into her body and stop Taylor from accusing an innocent friend of murder. Together Anna and Rei form a plan but it doesn't take into account the deeper feelings that are beginning to grow between them.
I didn't expect anything from Auracle. I hadn't heard much about it, but I sure loved it's cover. The synopsis sounded very interesting, so I was excited to see what it had for me. Anna Rogan can astrally project out of her body, so her spirit can travel the world and the far places of the universe. Although she has that awesome power, her best friend, Rei, is the only person who knows about it. The idea itself intrigued me a lot, especially since after her classmates death, Taylor takes over Anna's body when Anna left her body vacant in one of her trips to Hawaii or so. It was shocking and made me laugh in many parts as well.
Anna isn't the girly type, so when her classmate takes over her body, she changes Anna's lifestyle. I really liked that concept, especially the reactions of her other classmates and teachers at school. Even though I though Taylor was annoying at some points, she really cracked me up. Especially when she tries to block Anna from taking back her body. I was also glad that Rei was able to see Anna's spirit, so they would be able to communicate with each other. It made my heart race, and it was like they were both on a mission. Of course, friendship romance is the best for me. Anna and Rei are just so cute together, and did I mention he was half Japanese? *squeal* Anyways, they were one of my favorite characters.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Gina Rosati's writing is very smooth and has a good pace to it as well. I enjoyed every part of the story, and I didn't feel that dramatic either, which was very good. Even though there was a huge problem that needed to be resolved, I still felt that it was a fun, and chill book. I do recommend it to all you young adult readers, because "Auracle" will surely not disappoint! Even though there is no second book, I was very happy with the ending and closed the book with a smile on my face!

  6. I thought that the book was very well written with an addicting plot and a great flow that made it almost impossible to stop reading once I started. I found it very original and unique, which is hard to find in the YA genre these days. I highly recommend this book to fans of YA paranormal fiction and I will definitely be reading more of Gina's work in the future.
