Help Us Choose! (1) - Which book would you pick?

Ever reached a point where you just didn't know what to read next? this usually applies to the piles of physical non-review books you have sitting on your shelf collecting dust. Well, we're putting a stop to it. Farah and I have each chosen a couple of our physical books and will present it to you through a vlog, so either comment on our youtube channel or through this post!

Be sure to comment below on what you think we should read!

  1. Hi Farah! :) I really loved The Catastrophic History of You and Me. I thought it was amazing, it's been one of my favorite reads so far this year. Also, I really enjoyed Everneath. I haven't read the others, but I really enjoyed both of those :)

Hi Juhina! I thought City of Bones was really good and I like the Iron Fey series. Both Paper Towns and Supernaturally also sound good :)

  2. I enjoyed Everneath a lot, but I did go in with low expectations. I hope you read that, Farah! :)

Juhina, City of Bones! You must must must! I think you would like it. :)

By the way, sorry if you said anything important - the sound on my laptop hasn't been working! :P

  5. I think Everneath looks brilliant, and would probably start with that. But then The Catastrophic History of You and Me is supposed to be amazing, so maybe that.... :P

Juhina, I think City of Bones, because like Jen above me said, the movie is on the way and you should make sure you've already read the books. :)

By the way, new follower via GFB and Twitter! Love Maji Bookshelf. :) xxx

  8. I've been dying to read Everneath. I have had it on my shelf since January. Also you should read City of Bones soon since the movie will be out next year.

  9. Farah - Sorry, I didn't read any of those books but I am dying to read the Matched series!

Juhina - I LOVED Fateful, Cinder, City of Bones and The Iron Daughter.

Fateful - This one was a great stand-alone (sometimes it's good to take a break from series) and it didn't end up being as cliché as I thought it would be with the idea of werewolves on titanic. If you want you can check out my review here.

Cinder - I loved the rich setting in Cinder, although it was a retelling of Cinderella Marissa Meyer added plenty of her own original ideas in the book. My review can be found here!

City of Bones - I really do love this series, the characters are just all loads of fun plus there's the movie coming out next year, and I always like reading the book first before watching the movie.

The Iron Daughter - Definitely a lot better than The Iron King, my favourite in the series though was The Iron Queen. My review can be found here!

  10. Farah - I LOVED Catastrophic and Everneath, both are amazing and I highly recommend them. I did have a bit of trouble at the start concerning Everneath but about 50 pages in when I was thinking that I might have to put it down, something clicked and it was smooth sailing from there! Don't let that put you off ;) Twenty Boy Summer is great, really enjoyed it. The Fault In Our Stars is amazing, I was literally walking around in a daze - that's how much I loved it. My only problem with TFIOS was that I found the language to be a little too over the top. I understand that the characters were wise and mature for their age but I didn't understand quite a few words and that therefore made me feel rather dumb.

My vote goes to: Catastrophic as it's addictive and refreshing and Everneath because it was always intriguing and Jack (swoon!). Both are must reads :)

Juhina - Apart from Fateful which I didn't enjoy (the only thing aspect I liked was that it was set on the Titanic), I haven't read any of the books you mentioned but after reading Paranormalcy last year and enjoying it, I vote for Supernaturally! Cinder too, as it looks awesome and I've only hear amazing things!

Hope I've helped, happy reading! :)
