Eleven minutes passed before Delaney Maxwell was pulled from the icy waters of a Maine lake by her best friend Decker Phillips. By then her heart had stopped beating. Her brain had stopped working. She was dead. And yet she somehow defied medical precedent to come back seemingly fine
-despite the scans that showed significant brain damage. Everyone wants Delaney to be all right, but she knows she's far from normal. Pulled by strange sensations she can't control or explain, Delaney finds herself drawn to the dying. Is her altered brain now predicting death, or causing it?

Then Delaney meets Troy Varga, who recently emerged from a coma with similar abilities. At first she's reassured to find someone who understands the strangeness of her new existence, but Delaney soon discovers that Troy's motives aren't quite what she thought. Is their gift a miracle, a freak of nature-or something much more frightening?

All I can say is wow. wow wow wow wow. This story isn't just amazing, it's touching, amazing, and so addicting! It's very well written, and there wasn't a page that bored me, making it
As I first started this book, I didn't know what I was going to get. It was weird at first, but that was alright. I actually never knew it was labeled as paranormal until I was more than halfway through it. Honestly, I didn't care much because I enjoyed every bit of it.
Delaney is an amazing character. I really liked her. She was cautious, smart, and catches on to things pretty fast. Her relationship with Decker is so cute because they are the closest friends I have ever read about. I just adore their friendship and love towards one another.
When Delaney met Troy, I didn't know what to feel about him. Wether to trust him or not, was a very hard question for me. I also didn't know wether to like him or not. But in the end, I made a decision.
Overall, the action and pace of the story were so thrilling. The characters were a delight and interesting as well, which is always a reason to get hooked into a story.
Can it get any better? I don't think so!

  12. I'm glad you like this! It's Icey Book's standalone spotlight for this month and I really should check it out... considering I'm co-hosting the SARC with her. Is that part of the job description? Haha. THanks for the review.
