Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.

Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperately searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

When I first started reading this book, I knew it would be a great one. I loved the first book "Hush, Hush", so I had high expectations for this book. So I am glad to say that it was even better than I expected.
If you have read my Hush, Hush review, you would already know how much I love Nora. Her characteristic in my opinion, is very cool. I like how even though she's a girl, she always wants to find things out. In this book, her passion to roaming around and discovering never lessened.
Unfortunately, in this book, Patch was kind of annoying. Something happened that made him act all weird and untrusting. Because of this, conflicts rose between Patch and Nora, which made reading the book exciting and heart breaking.
Now off to the adventures in this book. It was a-ma-zing. I couldn't put the book down. Every page is filled with eager excitement and suspense that gets you hooked. Every chapter reveals more and more secrets, resulting in me never putting the book down.
Overall, I prefer this book rather than Hush,Hush because it was just thrilling to read. It was such a fun read, and I felt like I was actually in the story myself. If you haven't read it, you definitely should because you're missing out on something amazing.
Such an addicting tune, need more!!

  3. Really good review! I really liked Hush, Hush so I will have to give this one a spin. I just wish the first book didn't sound so much like Twilight.

  4. Great review! I'm glad you love this series because I did too! I think Nora is a little bit of a stalker sometimes but other than that she was a great character.

  5. I've held off reading the first one for some strange reason. I love the cover but haven't felt compelled to open the book yet. After reading you thoughts on it I think I should just read it already. Great review.

  6. Glad to hear you loved these as much as I did! I read all three of them in the last week. I'll be posting my review either today or tomorrow for Crescendo and then I just finished Silence yesterday!!! =D

  7. I really liked this series until I hit book three. Silence just sits there and rehashed everything that happened in the first two books. I think Fitzpatrick was just trying to make more money and say the series needed to be four books instead of the originally planned three books. Silence really doesn't add much to this series, I hope she brings the life back to the series with the final book.

    Thanks for the great review.

  8. I'm glad you're enjoying this series. I'm not a fan of it myself. But I can understand why you like it. While I'm not a huge fan, I'm still a reader :)

  9. Great review! I liked Crescendo better than Hush, Hush, but it was not enough to drive me to read Silence. Patch was a huge part of the reason I did not like the series, but the adventures were engaging :)
