Despite what her name might suggest, Heart has zero interest in complicated romance. So when her brilliant plan to go to prom with a group of friends is disrupted by two surprise invites, Heart knows there's only one drama-free solution: flip a coin.

Heads: The jock. He might spend all night staring at his ex or throw up in the limo, but how bad can her brother's best friend really be?

Tails: The theater geek...with a secret. What could be better than a guy who shares all Heart's interests--even if he wants to share all his feelings?

Heart's simple coin flip has somehow given her the chance to live out both dates. But where her prom night ends up might be the most surprising thing of all...
Okay seriously, are you in need of a very fun contemporary? THEN PICK UP THIS BOOK!! Ask Again Later was a book I have been pining for ever since I read the synopsis, and I'm thrilled to say that I absolutely loved it!! Heart, the main protagonist, doesn't like to complicate her life with relationships and romance. For prom, she has decided to go with a group of friends, rather than just one guy as her date. That doesn't really happen, because she's been asked by two guys, and she doesn't know which date to go with. In order to choose, she flips a coin. YES, she flips a coin! You guys might be confused right now, but the book is actually told into two different situations. We get to read about what happens weather she goes out with one guy, or the other!
When I told my sister about this book, she was confused. So, which guy does she choose? READ AND FIND OUT! I still really liked the idea of how the chapter are divided into HEADS and TAILS, and how the night plays out when Heart is with the jock, or the theater geek. This book was just full of laughs, embarrassing moments, and friendship. The readers get to find out what happens in both situations, and it was hilarious for me to see how different the night is between the two guys. (I really hope I explained this properly). Heart was such a great character. I loved her personality, and she was such a chill and fun character to read about. Really, I have nothing to say about this book but great things.
Although, the plot of this book was pretty predictable, I really didn't care. I just really enjoyed reading it, and I honestly don't think I've read such a cute book in a while. All fans of contemporary and romance books should totally pick this one up! It has a great high school feel to it, and I think Ask Again Later would be a perfect summer read! I'll definitely be looking forward to Liz Czukas's future books!

  5. Czukas’ debut is pure fun; at times, readers will feel as if in a John Hughes movie—and that’s a good thing.
