The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past... bridged two irreconcilable worlds... faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust... and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever.
I believed that this book would have been the perfect ending for this amazing trilogy, but Becca Fitzpatrick knows how to hook her readers. I didn't think there are anymore conflicts or issues to resolve, but boy was I wrong! This book was a thrilling page turner and I wasn't able to put it down!
The book was very fast paced. Nora lost her memory, which is like losing a part of herself, she struggled to figure out what happened the last five months, but she never lost her true self. She was the same stubborn, smart, and adventurous girl I have rooted for in the last two books. The memory loss also didn't drag through the book, hence the fast pace.
I wished there was more interactions between the best friends (Nora and Vee) especially since Vee had a major part in book two. I would really love to see how her story goes after what happened to her in Crescendo.
If I think about it nothing much actually happened in this book, other than the shocking moments and decisions towards the end, but I would even read about a normal day of Nora or Patch with Becca's writing. Her writing is gripping and oh so awesome! If you're a fan of paranormal romances with a twist of adventure, then this series is for you!
5 stars - It's like music to my ears! put it on replay
I loved this book too! But, don't judge me, in the beginning of the book I was so confused. Lol I forgot who Jev was!!!! But then it hit me, I was like, "Oh, Jev is Patch!"
ReplyDeleteBut this book was amazing to me =)
hav not read these yet/ review <3
ReplyDeleteYay!!! I just finished this one last week--glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteI was really looking forward to seeing how Becca would wrap the series up in this one, and was SO dissapointed when I found out there was another book. Then I actually read Silence, and was like, MORE! MORE! MORE!
You know, I never really liked Vee in the last two books, but I liked her in this, and would have liked to have seen more of her. I didn't think anyone other than Nora, Patch, Hank and Scott got much page time, but it's not a major criticism. The more Patch the better XD
I would slightly disagree with you. I didn't think the book was fast at all. The story moved really slow because Becca decided to waste the first half of the book recapping things that we already knew from the first two books. I think she just wanted to extend her series out for another book and wasted 200+ pages in this book in order to make that happen.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you loved the story though, the series is a good series I just wish it would have gone to a higher place in Silence.
Thanks for the great review.
@Alexa i meant it being fast paced that i wasnt BORED ever, especially with the memory loss, but its true that nothing much really happened in the book, most was condensed at the end, i hoped that she would have expanded it throughout the book. I'm hoping book4 will be the final installment!

I loved this book too. Nora having lost her memory but still feeling that yearning for Patch, without even knowing who he was, proved that their love is real. I felt like she was falling in love with him all over again.
ReplyDeleteGreat review.

I'm just not a fan of this series. I really shouldn't continue reading it. But, I can't just not finish a series. I try and give it a try. This is just not my cup of tea.
