I honestly only bought this book because it was by Stephenie Meyer. I loved the twilight series, before the movies came out and messed it up for me, so i started reading this book. Honestly the first 50 pages were a bit confusing but after that…. WOW, i COULD.NOT.PUT.IT.DOWN!
The book was so addictive i stayed up all night reading it. It was amazing. I connected with Wanderer in a way i couldn’t with many other books. She was such a fighter, a lover, a peace maker. My heart ached when hers did. I also loved Melanie, Ian and Jared. Oh and Melanie’s brother. Those sister-brother moments were SO heartwarming. The internal conflict for each character was also so deep, real, and believable. This book blew my mind away. I am recommending it this friday because i feel The Host is overshadowed by Twilight and it is such a shame that many readers who didn’t enjoy twilight don’t consider reading The Host (i understand, the hype twilight is getting gets tiring after a while).
I practically enjoyed the flashbacks in the book, the setting is amazing. This book is the reason im trying to read other dystopians (i’ve always been contemporary/paranormal only reader).
Read it please!!!
